Ärzte ohne Grenzen / Médecins Sans Frontières strive to provide effective humanitarian aid in crisis regions independently, impartially and as neutrally as possible.
At the same time, the organization also sees “witnessing” as an important task in the context of emergency medical aid. Witnessing means drawing attention to peoples in need and, in MSF's opinion, a trade-off may be necessary between witnessing and neutrality in practical humanitarian work, which may make it necessary to give up neutrality in individual cases.
In our time, when conflicts become highly radicalized and many crises receive little media attention, we find this neutral but committed approach so important. Therefore, please help us support Doctors Without Borders / MSF with your donation.
The team:
Leo Rohrbach (18)
Born in London, lives in Marseille
Leo is just back from a field trip around the Baltic Sea. 19 000 km in 2 Month in his VW T3 syncro
He now feels well prepared to find our way to the north cap and back again
Jochen Kälber (56)
Born in Waiblingen, lives in Marseille
Loves the great outdoors, so a convertible is the logic choice for this trip. Living in Marseille makes him a complete stranger to rain or other forms of precipitation. Hopefully this is going to be an exceptionally dry start of July
BLAK π
Mercedes SL from 1985. After fatal engine failure this spring it got a brand-new motor fitted. We just managed to clock up enough miles to get past the breaking in period. Hopefully we can spend more time in than under the car.
only an excuse, not a justification
we've compensated the expected CO2 impact by donating to www.atmosfair.de They will use it for projects like efficient stoves in Africa and India, biogas plants in Kenya, and solar or hydroelectric power in Senegal, Madagascar and South America. They buy the technology, train local partners, plan, control and manage the projects and continue to expand them.
