AGP - A Great Pair with A Guilty Pleasure

A Great Pair with A Guilty Pleasure (AGP), two friends from the Netherlands, are driving the 2024 Baltic Sea Rally. We are really looking forward to this great adventure "We have never tried that before so we definitely are able to do that" (Pipi Longstocking). We have known each other for almost 25 years and share a love for nature and a good conversation with a glas of wine.

Astrid is an experienced sailor and horserider. Monique cycled solo from Arnhem to Santiago de Compostela in 2022. So we do have some experience with adventures. We hope we can use the things we have learned there during this rally.

We drive to raise money for the annual Children's Camp in Sierra Leone - M4SM. A Great Project!

The Annual Childrens's Camp Sierra Leone

M4SM works to strengthen the position of underprivileged women and children in Sierra Leone.They do this by meeting their physical, educational, emotional and social needs. This allows them to restore their dignity and lead a self-reliant life.

A Dutch friend Luc, whom we have known for more than 25 years, started setting up and organizing annual camps for children together with Peter in 2008. Luc and Peter decided to organize a children's camp because people, especially the younger generation, had lost confidence in humanity after the war. They thought that reaching as many young people as possible, even for a short time, would have a bigger impact than supporting a few children all year round. At that time, Sierra Leone was still a war zone and a country on average people did not live longer than 38 years. The situation in Sierra Leone may have improved since 2008, but living standards are still miles away from ours.
